Since its foundation
in 1991, WORDSTATION has completed numerous localization projects
for direct clients as well as through localization agencies. We are
proud of our solid client base - a long-term relationship is one of
the key factors in any successful project. Following is a chronological
list of some of the clients for whom we've been localizing for several years. We are
grateful to each of these companies for generously consenting to permit
us to list their names and products.
We've been localizing Macintosh and Windows
software for Symantec into German since early 1992. Among the many products
we've localized are Symantec AntiVirus™, Norton AntiVirus™,
Norton AntiVirus™ for Lotus Notes, Norton Internet Security™ and
Norton System Works™ as well as the Symantec Enterprise Security Architecture (SESA).
In 1997 Symantec introduced its Best Localization Vendor Award and
promptly chose WORDSTATION as the winner. This distinction was once
again awarded to WORDSTATION in 1998 and 1999. We value our longstanding
partnership with Symantec and take great pride in having been awarded
this honor.
»Over the last few years, WORDSTATION
has always proved reliable, punctual and efficient. If more companies
were like that, our lives would be a lot easier...«
»Catherine Albieth, Vendor Manager«
Dantz is the leading vendor of backup software
for the Macintosh - nothing compares to their flagship product Retrospect .
Since 1993 we've localized their complete product line and
all of their marketing materials into German - and later into
French, Spanish and Italian as well. In recent years we've leveraged
those translations to produce cross-platform localized Windows versions
of Retrospect for the German, French, Spanish and Italian markets.
»WORDSTATION is the best localization
group that we have ever worked with. Their technical expertise as
well as excellent project management skills allow them to produce
great products which are always on schedule.
Localization is more than just translating a product. It is understanding
the product and using that knowledge to make it the best product available
for the market. The German and French versions of Retrospect are so
well done that they have received excellent reviews and awards including
the Meilenstein (milestone) award from MacUP and the Technology and
Innovation award from Macwelt.
Dantz could not ask for a better localization partner than WORDSTATION.«

Development«
Netopia, formerly known as Farallon Communications,
develops innovative network products for Macintosh and Windows, such
as Timbuktu Pro , a remote control software, and routers for ISDN,
xDSL, etc. Since 1993 we've
localized Netopia's catalogs, data sheets, brochures and other marketing
materials. Having these materials translated in the target country
ensures consistency in the use of network, ISDN and DSL terminology.
Freelance Graphics 96 and Approach 96,
two SmartSuite 96 components, were the first Lotus products we localized
into German in 1995. Following the successful localization of several Notes-based products for Lotus in 1998, we were selected to localize Lotus
Notes/Domino R5
into German. The project - the first Notes/Domino version localized
by WORDSTATION - included all of
the software and database templates, as well as the documentation
and online help system of more than a million words. Since Lotus Notes /Domino™ R5
we've localized many more Notes-based applications such as Lotus Notes /Domino™ R6, Lotus Sametime™, Lotus
Team WorkPlace™, Domino Document Manager and Lotus Workflow™ as well as WebSphere™-based enterprise applications, e.g. IBM Lotus Workplace.
In early 2003 we were selected by IBM as winner of the IBM Vendor Award for Translation Services, a unique honor which has only been awarded once.
This extensive Notes/Domino R5/R6 expertise, together with our in-depth
localization and application development experience make WORDSTATION
the ideal partner for localizing third-party Lotus Notes/Domino applications.

Since its debut in 1997 we've continually localized
the online help system and documentation for JBuilder™,
Borland's award-winning set of visual development tools for creating Java
business applications. The expansive help systems comprise several thousand
files in HTML format, demanding the utmost in coordination, technical expertise
and accuracy from the localization team. More recently, Borland has entrusted
WORDSTATION with the localization of its newer products, including
StarTeam ,
CaliberRM™ and Optimizeit™ for Java.
